Task 4
Respect VS Fear
“Respect can be defined as a positive
feeling of esteem for a person or entity. It denotes the regard and
consideration shown by an individual towards others.” (preservearticles)
To me, respect means that you listen to
someone’s ideas and telling the people that you are good at what
you. To respect someone, is not to assume that they are invincible,
because that is idol worship, but to be their friend if they need it, to be
able to put petty disagreements in the past, to follow their wishes if you have
prayed and know it is in their best interest, due to knowledge gained from God.
That kind of respect is what is important to me. Respect given for injuring
oneself or breaking a rule is fake, faulty, and will not stand the test of
time. Real Respect is a state in which you do not defile anyone or anything for
your sake because you must give of yourself to. Inorder to gain
respect one should always give respect to the other person as well.
“Fear is an emotional state in the
presence, or anticipation of a dangerous stimulus. Often it becomes intense
like anger. Fear means being afraid of or panic.” (preservearticles)
Fear is an unpleasant often strong
emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. The
words such as dread, fright, alarm, panic, and terror, are
essentially all terms that express different levels of fear. Fear is the most
general term and implies anxiety and loss of courage. Everyone on the face of
the earth has experienced this emotion. As a living being we all
have fear; it might be a problem or it might be different elements that brings
fear to peoples mind. what i belive peronally is that fear are stories that we tell ourselves. A purer emotion. emotion which we belive as becoming sacred or not being able to speak up
or tell to anyone. The real fact is tha it's simply the recognition that
someone or something has the potential to harm you, and nothing more. It
doesn't involve the complex mix of attraction than fear.
Respect always involves at
least a bit of low level fear or at least the potential for it. That
is, one cannot feel true respect someone or something that isn't capable of
adversely affecting him. Respect also has other ingredients. It's kind of like
liking and fearing someone at the same time.
As respect and fear both are
emotions which have the sentiments value. Where respect needs to be earn and
fear is something that one should overcome at time.

Task 3
Confidence
vs Arrogance
As Zig
Ziglar a famous corporate trainer and motivational speaker said “You
cannot perform in a manner that is inconsistent with the way you see yourself.” I believe that most of us immediately
know when we come across a confident person or an arrogant person but we all have different thoughts about what
constitutes this.
To me confidence in everyday life can be quite a
mixture of effect as people don’t need to make big displays of
‘confidence’ to prove how assured they are. Beliving
in yourself having faith that says “YES” i can do it shows the confidence wthin
. Being confident dose not refer to envy but having a will power to speaking
for yourself and for other people can be called confidence. One should always
belive in itself; thats the power which makes you realize taht you are
confident
As for I belive arrogance it can be said as rash, dismissive behaviour
that appears to show you putting yourself on a pedestal over whoever else you
are talking to. Showing off stuffs and making belive others by at their own will or liberty is an aroogant
personality. It’s a kind of overbearing pride that in most cases
alienates you from the people around you.
Confidence
and arrogance both involve believing in one’s abilities. A person who is
confident understands they have certain areas of strength. Confidence is
rooted in one’s ability to accept them. A confident person accepts their
weaknesses or faults, even though they may not like them. This acceptance
enables the confident person to handle faults with grace and without further
compacting the areas of weakness with arrogance. It can be a strength or
weakness of a person coming to confidence and arrogance. These are key points
when understanding confidence vs. arrogance.
