Task 4

Respect VS Fear
Respect can be defined as a positive feeling of esteem for a person or entity. It denotes the regard and consideration shown by an individual towards others. (preservearticles)
To me, respect means that you listen to someone’s ideas and telling the people that you are good at what you. To respect someone, is not to assume that they are invincible, because that is idol worship, but to be their friend if they need it, to be able to put petty disagreements in the past, to follow their wishes if you have prayed and know it is in their best interest, due to knowledge gained from God. That kind of respect is what is important to me. Respect given for injuring oneself or breaking a rule is fake, faulty, and will not stand the test of time. Real Respect is a state in which you do not defile anyone or anything for your sake because you must give of yourself to. Inorder to gain respect one should always give respect to the other person as well.
Fear is an emotional state in the presence, or anticipation of a dangerous stimulus. Often it becomes intense like anger. Fear means being afraid of or panic. (preservearticles)
Fear is an unpleasant often strong emotion caused by anticipation or awareness of danger. The words such as dread, fright, alarm, panic, and terror, are essentially all terms that express different levels of fear. Fear is the most general term and implies anxiety and loss of courage. Everyone on the face of the earth has experienced this emotion. As a living being we all have fear; it might be a problem or it might be different elements  that brings fear to peoples mind. what i belive peronally is that  fear are stories that we tell ourselves. A purer emotion. emotion which we belive as  becoming sacred or not being able to speak up or tell to anyone. The real fact is tha it's simply the recognition that someone or something has the potential to harm you, and nothing more. It doesn't involve the complex mix of attraction than fear.
Respect always involves at least a bit of low level fear or at least the potential for it. That is, one cannot feel true respect someone or something that isn't capable of adversely affecting him. Respect also has other ingredients. It's kind of like liking and fearing someone at the same time.
As respect and fear both are emotions which have the sentiments value. Where respect needs to be earn and fear is something that one should overcome at time.

Task 3

Confidence vs Arrogance

As Zig Ziglar a famous corporate trainer and motivational speaker said “You cannot perform in a manner that is inconsistent with the way you see yourself.” I believe that most of us immediately know when we come across a confident person or an arrogant person but we all have different thoughts about what constitutes this.
To me confidence in everyday life can be quite a mixture of effect as  people don’t need to make big displays of ‘confidence’ to prove how assured they are. Beliving in yourself having faith that says “YES” i can do it shows the confidence wthin . Being confident dose not refer to envy but having a will power to speaking for yourself and for other people can be called confidence. One should always belive in itself; thats the power which makes you realize taht you are confident
As for I belive arrogance it can be said as rash, dismissive behaviour that appears to show you putting yourself on a pedestal over whoever else you are talking to. Showing off stuffs and making belive others by  at their own will or liberty is an aroogant personality. It’s a kind of overbearing pride that in most cases alienates you from the people around you.
Confidence and arrogance both involve believing in one’s abilities.  A person who is confident understands they have certain areas of strength.  Confidence is rooted in one’s ability to accept them.  A confident person accepts their weaknesses or faults, even though they may not like them.  This acceptance enables the confident person to handle faults with grace and without further compacting the areas of weakness with arrogance. It can be a strength or weakness of a person coming to confidence and arrogance. These are key points when understanding confidence vs. arrogance.

Task 1

My Personality Test

We all want to know what kind of people we are and what those other people think about us. These are the most common question running through our heads most of the time. Being an IT student we usually deal with computers only but as our tutor said "in this semester this is the only subject that deals with human". During our tutorial class we were assigned to do a small assessment. We were told to visit www.41q.com and attempt 41 questions to see what can our personality can be. Down below are my results and my views on what I feel about the results

41 Questions. 1 Personality.

Your personality type: "Dynamic Thinker"
Assertive and outspoken - they are driven to lead. Excellent ability to understand difficult organizational problems and create solid solutions. Intelligent and well-informed, they usually excel at public speaking. They value knowledge and competence and usually have little patience with inefficiency or disorganization.
Careers that could fit you include:

People like Bill Gates, Steve Martin and my very favorite actor Jim carry has almost same personality as mine. So to be great as one of them and to achieve something i have to work hard as much i can as every one of them has done. Having such wonderful qualities has now even made me more enthusiastic more than ever.

Task 0

Below are two of the abilities that I should develop as a computing student

Work as a development team member, recognizing the different roles within a team and different ways of organizing teams.

There is always so much to learn in life. Every day we face challenges overcoming to those problems it teaches us new things. Learning innovative things with one another on a group among people is fun as well as a good experience. In order to accomplish any task given to us we should work as a team for that we have to work on different ideas and views among group itself. Working with new peoples with different ideas and solution for the problem and performing tasks may seem hard but is always fun and exciting. Every person has their own strong and weakness and strength; so the best thing while working on group would be using the strength to accomplish the goal and improving the weakness while working with new people. In a group different people would have different roles and different task that they should perform. While working on the groups the hardest job is to lead people this is one quality I have learnt by following many leaders through time on my past project. I believe I have the quality to lead people and form a better team.

 • Manage own learning and personal development, including using time management and organisational skills, with a focus on lifelong learning and professional development.

As they say “time and tide waits for no man” (dictionary, 2001) one should always be prepared by managing everything on time. To focus on my future as well as day to day life I plan on making routine and time table following them strictly. In order to archive good amount experience’ I march myself always to look forward for better opportunities.

Third Blog

Skills Attributes and Employment Development

Studying Bsc. Computing first year we are supposed to study four modules. One of them is "Study skills". In this module we get to learn how to enhance our presentation and public speaking skills as well as work in a group and as an individual. The other thing we get to do is to write our blogs. It helps in our writing as well as the way we can express ourselves to other peoples. I have high hopes from this module that it can enhance my skills of writing and increase my leadership qualities.
One of the other module that we are currently involved is "Problem Solving for IT" it teaches us how to handle problems with little effort. Being an IT student as a problem solver; we do not know what kind of problem we would face in future but this module help us to be prepared. Using  the techniques from this module I hope to learn algorithms, flowcharts and database management using Microsoft excel and access which will guide me in my career while  I am working or on when I am on a job interview.
As a computer student programming is very important to us because this is what represents us. The third module we are currently studying is "Further programming"; this module deals with java programming. In near future we would be developing software using various programming languages that we are taught in this module. I expect to learn the programming language and graphical user interface from this module so latter in my future while creating website or application it might come in handy.
The final module I am currently studying is "Logic" which deals with mathematical problems. In this module we get to learn Truth tables, sets, binary, etc. It will aid me in sharpening my mind while thinking different ways to solve one problem that is essential while coding a program in near future.
